October Weekend

This weekend (not including this windy afternoon) has been nice. The kids enjoyed being outside and going to the Hays Homecoming Parade yesterday.

Garrett Walking

Garrett is officially walking all over the place now. And he needs another haircut - which is very apparent in one of the pictures!

He's Walking!

After about a month and a half of taking steps, Garrett is finallly walking almost full time. He walks most places, except if he needs to get somewhere really fast - then he crawls.

New Clutch

Shayla spent most of the day Saturday helping Jeremiah change the clutch in his Ranger.

Making Pizza

The rec center in Hays had a pizza making day, Shayla thought it was great.

11 Months

Garrett just turned 11 months old. He is very energetic and can walk about 20 steps now. His favorite activities include splashing in the toilet, unrolling toilet paper and unplugging cords. He also enjoys playing tractors, climbing and taking all the furniture out of Shayla’s dollhouse.

Church Picnic

Sunday we went to a park picnic for the church we've been going to. Shayla had a great time!

New Vacuum

My vacuum clear back from college has finally been replaced. Garrett enjoyed helping screw the new one together.

First Rodeo

We were suprised Shayla really enjoyed the mutton bustin - she wasn't scared at all and can't wait to do it again.

New Brake Pads

Jeremiah had to change the brake pads on my pickup today. Shayla enjoyed helping him.

Oktoberfest and Parade

There is a little Oktoberfest celebration in Hays that I took the kids to yesterday. It rained, so it wasn't too much fun, but the both the kids really liked the petting zoo. Today we went to the Fort Hays State parade. Shayla had fun with her friend Wyatt and enjoyed catching lots of candy. It is the first parade she's been to since she was about Garrett's age, so needless to say she was SO excited.

Fair Rides

As you can tell from the first couple photos, Shayla can get really scared on rides. The carousel is one of the few that doesn't scare her.

Combine Demolition Derby

Last month we enjoyed the fair here in Hays. We went to a combine demolition derby, regular demolition derby and a kids' rodeo for Shayla. They had the most expensive carnival ever too. You had to buy 3 or 4 tickets for each ride and each ticket cost $1. Needless to say, Shayla only rode a couple.
